James 1:17 reminds us that “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.” This Thanksgiving, Lula, Lilly and I are grateful for the many gifts the Lord has bestowed on us these past twelve months: the privilege of being sent abroad to share Jesus Christ in a brand-new environment and in different languages; that you all continue to support us so generously; that the Lord is walking alongside Lilly as she adjusts to a new school in a new language; that we are geographically much closer to our family in Germany (even though, sadly, at this time far away from our family in America). *Every* good thing comes from you, O Lord–our next breath, the smile of a stranger, that hug from a friend or relative. But most importantly, we are grateful for the forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation that come only from our Lord Jesus Christ.
