… to Germany and across Eurasia! It’s hard to believe that another year is drawing to a close. On the one hand, it seems like 2025 just started, while on the other hand, so much has happened that this one year has seemed like five. The Lord continues to bless my two main occupations as a missionary: to bring Persian refugees in Germany to the Christian faith. But I also serve as a theological instructor at Riga Luther Academy, where we form men to become future Lutheran pastors. There is overlap between these two areas, and they fertilize each other wonderfully. Plus, an additional blessing this year was that the LCMS took Lula on board to serve as the communications director for the Office of International Mission in Eurasia, and her valuable work ties in with mine. You couldn’t ask for a better combination. Once again, both of us are so grateful for all your support, as God uses us “jars of clay” (2 Cor 4:7) to help grow his glorious Kingdom. If it were not for God coming down to earth in the flesh in a humble manger in Bethlehem over two thousand years ago, we would not be here. What an amazing thought! Thank you all for keeping the Tiews going out here on the mission field, and praise God for the many ways in which He is blessing His work that we are so privileged to do!
