In some parts of Europe, Holy Week is also called “silent week,” a time in which everyday activities are suspended to carve out time for reflection. What did our Lord do between Palm Sunday and Resurrection Sunday? We know that He cleared the temple on Monday, taught on Tuesday, taught or rested on Wednesday, washed the disciples’ feet, and initiated the Lord’s Supper on Maundy Thursday. On Good Friday He took our sins upon Himself on the cross and on Saturday lay in the tomb, gloriously rising from the dead early the next morning.
Lula and I sincerely thank you for all your prayers and continued support and pray that your “silent week” may provide time to reflect on the most important week in world history, during which Jesus Christ conquered sin, death, and the devil—for you!
Blessings and much love,
Pastor Tiews
